# roark simulation group create

> Create a simulation group

Saves a named set of plans to run together, again and again. Nothing runs yet: POST /v1/simulation/group/\{groupId}/run starts one run of every plan and groups them into a run group with one combined report. Slack channels need Slack connected to the project. Email is on by default.

```bash Synopsis theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark simulation group create [options]
```

> [!NOTE]
>
> Calls `POST /v1/simulation/group`

## Options

**--name** `string` *required*

What to call the group.

**--description** `string`

What the group is for.

**--simulation-run-plan-ids** `array` *required*

The plans to run together, in run order (2 to 20). Duplicates are dropped. Repeatable.

**--notifications** `object`

Where each run's group report announces itself once it is ready.

**--notifications.email** `object`

**--notifications.slack** `array`

Channels in the project's connected Slack workspace to post the report to (at most 10). Slack must be connected to the project first.

## Example

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark simulation group create --name <value> --simulation-run-plan-ids <value>
```

Every command also takes the [global options](/cli-reference/overview.md#global-options) and sets one
of the [exit codes](/cli-reference/overview.md#exit-codes).
