# roark phone-number delete

> Release a phone number

Gives the number back to the carrier. This cannot be undone: rent stops today and nothing is refunded.

roark phone-number delete <phone-number-id> [options]
```

> Calls `DELETE /v1/phone-number/{phoneNumberId}`

## Arguments

**phone-number-id** `string` *required*

The phone-number-id.

## Example

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark phone-number delete <phone-number-id>
```
