# roark customer-flow edge-case create

> Add an edge case

Adds a variant to an IMPROV flow. A scripted flow's variants are owned by the path engine, one per path through the graph, so they are created by editing the graph through PUT /v1/customer-flow/\{flowId}/graph rather than here. Leave personaOverrideId or environmentId unset to inherit the happy path's.

```bash Synopsis theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark customer-flow edge-case create <flow-id> [options]
```

> [!NOTE]
>
> Calls `POST /v1/customer-flow/{flowId}/edge-case`

## Arguments

**flow-id** `string` *required*

The flow-id.

## Options

**--title** `string` *required*

**--environment-id** `string`

**--prompt** `string`

**--preceded-by-customer-flow-id** `string`

**--preceded-by-customer-flow-variant-id** `string`

**--include-flow-expectations** `switch`

Whether this edge case is graded on the flow's agentExpectations as well as its own additionalExpectations. Defaults to true; false grades it on its additionalExpectations only.

**--additional-expectations** `array`

The expectations graded on this variant only, on top of the flow's own. Sent as the complete set: it replaces whatever the variant had, so omit it to leave the set alone and send \[] to clear it. Improv flows only: a scripted variant's expectations come from the agent turns on its path and are rewritten on every graph edit.

**--persona-override-id** `string`

The persona this runs as. Omit to inherit the happy path's.

## Example

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark customer-flow edge-case create <flow-id> --title <value>
```

Every command also takes the [global options](/cli-reference/overview.md#global-options) and sets one
of the [exit codes](/cli-reference/overview.md#exit-codes).
