# roark customer field update

> Update a customer field

Changes a field. A built-in field can only be turned on or off for your project; any field of your project's own can change everything but its key.

```bash Synopsis theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark customer field update <key> [options]
```

## Arguments

**key** `string` *required*

The key.

## Options

**--label** `string`

**--description** `string`

**--value-type** `string`

One of `TEXT`, `NUMBER`, `BOOLEAN`, `DATE`, `PHONE_NUMBER`, `EMAIL`, `CURRENCY`

**--extract** `switch`

## Example

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark customer field update <key>
```
