# roark agent update

> Update an agent

Updates an existing agent by its ID.

```bash Synopsis theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark agent update <agent-id> [options]
```

> Calls `PUT /v1/agent/{agentId}`

## Arguments

**agent-id** `string` *required*

The ID of the agent to update.

## Options

**--name** `string`

Name of the agent.

**--description** `string`

Description of the agent.

## Example

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark agent update <agent-id>
```
