# roark agent create

> Create a new agent

Creates a new agent for the authenticated project.

```bash Synopsis theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark agent create [options]
```

> Calls `POST /v1/agent`

## Options

**--name** `string` *required*

Name of the agent.

**--description** `string`

Description of the agent.

**--custom-id** `string`

Custom identifier for the agent.

## Example

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"everforest-light","dark":"everforest-dark"}}
roark agent create --name <value>
```

of the [exit codes](/cli-reference/overview.md#exit-codes).
